- Conforms with the PictBridge* function
- When your camera is already PictBridge-compatible,
the following condition will be revised by the firmware update:
an operation malfunction occurs when trying to imprint date
on pictures in combination of the C-350Z,D-560Z camera and
a certain type of printer connected with bundled USB cable.
* What is PictBridge
PictBridge is a standard used to connect a digital camera directly to a PictBridge compatible printer. This enables direct printing without the use of a computer. Prints can be made using simple camera control regardless of the device manufacturers.

If you are using Windows 2000/ Windows XP OS, you must log into your computer as the Administrator to complete this operation. |

If you are using Windows 98/98SE OS and have never downloaded an image from a digital camera before, you may need to install the camera device driver. (Please refer to the camera's reference manual for details). |

If the connection between the camera and computer cannot be made, the installation process will not begin. |

If you connect a camera that is not supported by this firmware update, the following message will be displayed: "The computer cannot recognize the camera, please make sure that the camera is connected to the computer correctly." |

Downloading the Firmware Update Software |

After accepting the license agreement, please select your camera model and download the file to your PC. |
 |
| 2. |
Update the Firmware |
| |
Double-click on the downloaded file. The firmware update process will begin. |
 |
| 3. |
Confirm the update was successful |
| |
When the firmware update is finished, the software version information will appear on the camera's display. Please make sure that the new firmware version appears on the display. |

Any user ("User") is deemed to have
acknowledged and accepted the following terms and conditions
which are proposed by OLYMPUS IMAGING CORPORATION ("Olympus"),
when the User loads down the Software in the User's computer,
and simultaneously, this Software License Agreement are deemed
to be fully executed by and between the User and Olympus. |

Subject to the terms and conditions herein contained, Olympus shall grant to User a non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the Software and the copy thereof (hereinafter, the copy of the Software are included in the Software) only for the purpose of applying to the Olympus products which is introduced and accepted by Olympus. |

User shall be prohibited to do or perform the following matters. |

To make any copy of the Software, whether in whole or in part, for any other purpose than back-up purpose. |

(2) |
To sell, distribute or upload the Software, whether in whole or in part. |

(3) |
To change, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, whether in whole or in part. |

(4) |
To rent, lease or sublicense the Software, whether in whole or in part. |

(5) |
To export the Software, directly or indirectly, whether in whole or in part, without obtaining necessary approvals of relevant governmental authority in Japan or in any relevant country. |

Any right, title or interest in and to the Software shall be owned by or vested to Olympus or its licensor respectively. |

4. |
USER ACKNOWLEGDES AND UNDERSTANDS THAT THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED TO USER ON AN "AS-IS" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: |

WARRANTIES FOR MERCHANTABILITY AND/OR FITNESS FOR A USER'S PARTICULAR PURPOSE. |

WARRANTY FOR NO BUG, ERROR, FAILURE OR DEFECTS IN THE SOFTWARE; OR |

(3) |
WARRANTIES FOR NON-INFRINGEMENT OF RIGHTS OR INTERESTS OF ANY THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT. |

IN NO EVENT SHALL OLYMPUS BE LIABLE NOR RESPONSIBLE
FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED OR INCURRED BY USER OR ANY OTHER
THIRD PARTY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, GENERAL, SPECIAL,
DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL LOSS OR DAMAGES
INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION,
LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION AND THE LIKE), ARISING OUT OF
OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE. |

If User fails in complying with any terms and conditions under this Agreement, Olympus may terminate this Agreement and seek to remedy for any loss or damage, including damages for loss of business profit, business interpretation, loss of business information and the like) or loss of profit incurred by Olympus, arising out of or in connection with such User's failure. In such event, User shall immediately destroy or return to Olympus any and all copies thereof, whether in whole or in part. |
