Does Olympus offer worldwide warranty for Olympus digital camera?

Answer:
Up to now, any repair services under warranty for Olympus digital camera and accessories were provided only within a country or region you purchased; however, the repair service warranty will be extended to worldwide effective April 1, 2004.
(There are some distributors which are not covered by the worldwide repair service warranty as an exceptions.When there are no "W"-marked service centers/distributors around you, please kindly bring your camera into "W"-marked service centers/distributors near by you or into the distributor in the country you purchased.)

"Worldwide Repair Service Warranty" service entry:
- There are some exceptional distributors which do not provide worldwide repair services.

Coverage: The worldwide repair service warranty covers the products which the warranty card is included in the camera package when purchased and within the warranty period only. (Except printer, media cards or underwater protector.)
- The worldwide warranty card is included in digital cameras and certain accessories which will be released later than April 1, 2004.
- In some case, you may receive the camera package which includes the old-type warranty card (local warranty) despite you purchased it later than April 1, 2004. In this case the local warranty card can also be used as the worldwide warranty card.
- If you purchased Olympus digital camera before April 1, 2004 and yet within the warranty period, you can receive the worldwide repair service with your old-type warranty card.
