Question :
I inserted an unused FlashAir™ card into a FlashAir™ compatible Olympus digital camera and took a picture without setting the wireless LAN function.

Wireless LAN SDHC Card "FlashAir™" Setup Software Download ( Toshiba corporation )

What causes the default setting to become unavailable?
When a default FlashAir™ card is inserted on a SDHC card compatible device and you turn it on, the wireless LAN function will run automatically. You should set a connection password from the smartphone immediately to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your FlashAir™ card. The default password for all FlashAir™ cards is the same. When you use the card without the password setting, your images may be viewed or the FlashAir™ settings may be configured by a third person.

For security reasons, if a FlashAir™ card without a password is inserted in an Olympus FlashAir™ compatible cameras and you turn the camera on, the camera changes its wireless LAN setting from Auto Start to Manual Start. The wireless LAN is Off, so you can prevent unauthorized users from accessing your card until a password is set.
However, if you remove the FlashAir™ card from the camera without setting a password, the wireless LAN function remains Off. The wireless LAN cannot run automatically when you insert the card to other devices.

Using the FlashAir™ Configuration Software, the wireless LAN setting can be set to Auto Start mode.
