Question :
What does a Neutral Density (ND) filter do?

If you turn on the Neutral Density filter function, you can block the amount of light by changing the shutter speed or aperture value to 3 steps using the built-in Neutral Density filter.

The Neutral Density filter will be effective when you shoot pictures with blurred background by opening the aperture of the camera in extremely bright conditions. You can also express the streams of water with the slow shutter speed.

For example, if you set the Neutral Density filter in an environment that takes pictures with 1/250 shutter speed, you can take pictures with 1/30 shutter speed without changing the aperture value. (The brightness of your image will be left unchanged).

The Neutral Density filter can be set to On or Off in the live control.

  1. Press the OK button to display the live control. Use the updown to select the ND filter.
  2. Use left right to select ND Filter On, and then push the OK button.

Question :
Why is the camera not auto-focusing?

Answer:
The lever on the front of the camera may be assigned to switch between the AF (Auto Focus) and MF (Manual Focus).

Auto-focusing is not operational if the lever is switched to MF position. Switch the lever back to the down position (AF) as illustrated below and AF should resume functioning. If it does not resume functioning we suggest checking the AF mode the camera is set to in the camera menu.

The lever on the front of the camera may be assigned to switch between the AF (Auto Focus) and MF (Manual Focus).
